  • Project Introduction
  • Working with an established brand always requires an extra level of care and attention. In the case of Acorn Group I was keen to establish an identity that built on the prexisting values of the company. Despite initial conversations with the client that encouraged a move away from acorn iconography, I was eventually able to steer them toward a solution that not only represented an acorn at its core, but that also signified growth and protection.
  • Project Experience
  • From start to finish the project ran for around six months, starting with a full brand exploration to ascertain exactly what the client's requirements were. From there I was able to start putting together some initial logo ideas. I employed a dual-fronted approach throughout, creating a set of 'safe' designs alongside some additional 'curveball' designs. The client opted to go with the curveball direction, trusting me to roll out the rest of the identity from there.
Project Involvement

Beyond the brand development and realisation I was also involved in directing the print and digital aesthetic early on, with a view to handing the project over to the in-house team further down the line. After the creation of brand guidelines I also created a number of early print designs including company stationery, as well as vehicle liveries, workwear and finally a full suite of digital assets.
